This is IT!!

This was a brew from the oldest brewery in continuous operation in the US. Yuengling, pronounced "ying-ling." Very good beer .. a cut down from Sam Adams and a big cut above Budweiser.

But now, you may ask: "Why is it here?"

Some years ago, Mary did pen-and-ink portraits of houses that belonged to rich people in Alexandria. As a way of compensating for their wealth she inserted an empty beer can in some fairly inconspicuous spot in every portrait. Then it came time to do a portrait of our house and while the need for financial equalization did not apply to us, poor Mary had become addicted to signature objects.

She actually began the custom when she was a schoolgirl doing etchings of places of scenic beauty: her first one was of docks at Chincoteague, Virginia. She decided that, no matter how handsome the view, there are or have been or will be beer cans in it.
